At the end of the Intermediate PowerPoint Training Course, participants will be able to use the tools with the application to creatively design and showcase content using shapes, images and transitions. They will understand the importance of planning their presentation.
Following a recap of the basic elements, we'll be creating a slide pack that incorporates:
Creative and design tools
And we'll discuss the importance of planning and preparation.
You'll be introduced to the the five Ps of Presentations, planning, preparation, practice, performance, and passion and in this course we'll give some focus to the planning and preparation.
You'll have learned about Master Slides in the Beginners course and we'll look at slide templates, a wire frame (mapping out the presentation before starting it) - and gathering assets.
Here we'll working with shapes and images and explore what can be done to add creativity to your slides and begin to enhance the look.
We'll focus on the 'illustrations' section of the ribbon bar and we'll make sure you have time to play and experiment - how images and shapes can work together.
Thank goodness we've moved on from Clip Art images (Google 'old clip art images' and you'll see what we mean).
We have access to millions of assets via the internet. We'll explore some of those resources and discuss the royalty rules - how, where and when you can use images.
We'll also look at some of the editing functions available in PowerPoint once you have sourced you image, graphic or video.
We'll look at the slide transition and object animation tools and experiment with them so you have a good understanding of what they do, how to format them and what you need to focus on.
We'll also look in depth at the Morph transition which is relatively new to PowerPoint. (this is inly available on the latest versions of the software).
You'll learn about the tools for presenting the slide pack. We'll provide some advice on how best to present - standing/sitting, scripting/prompt cards, room layout, how to maintain eye contact, etc.
And then you're up! Time to present your creations.
